I have built a new server but need people to try it out and see if the crash issue is gone.

... You built a new server to test if the bodies cause the crashing, rather than disable bodies for a day?

What do you mean disable bodies? Please explain.

I would assume he meant disable body physics/collision.

    It's disabled by default.

    ttt_ragdoll_collide (def. 0):
By default ragdolls will not collide with other ragdolls and some small physics objects (or doors set not to collide with debris). Enabling ragdoll collision will change that. Earlier versions of TTT had ragdoll collision, but this allowed griefers to create situations where ragdolls were physics-glitched to constantly collide, causing serious lag. Some maps may expect ragdolls to collide though. Use with care.

Hmm, I'm not sure about custom models but it's an interesting thought. I can't think of any reason why a point shop model over the default models would cause an issue. I'm not very familiar with GMODs model integration but would assume it requires custom player models to have specific things for it to function correctly with the engine. Since we don't really see any other issues with the model when people are playing I would only assume the model is ok. If there was a physics issue with it I think we would see it when someone is moving around with that model.

I would like people to test the new server I setup and see how that goes. We could just be looking at some corrupt files because of the age of the install.

TTT1 is the oldest install we have on the server. The amount of times it has has custom stuff installed and then uninstalled could be a factor here.

I'm 100% certain that the random crashes are from the skins. TBoB had the exact same issue, and it was fixed by disabling custom skins, as randomly on some maps, they have collisions in random spots on the map until the server crashes. It can be seen because the bodies flip the fuck out, then the server crashes.

  12. Thanks Suricruise thanked for this post
