I came here to bring up the point that I found neither of the two "Special" rounds that I took part in, and have mentioned in my post, amusing to me in the slightest and I found them annoying. Regardless, as you have noticed the topic of the thread is over the entirety special rounds, but I only mention the ones that I found to be annoying, to get the safety net for the fact that sometimes people don't think of the others when you are too specific and I wanted to place a broad starting place for anyone to bring up any concerns they had about the other "Special" rounds that they might have.

I would suggest that you don't word something in such a disrespectful manner until you actually understand a situation. Thank you.

Sorry to sound like a dick but you coming here and asking for their immediate removal after only playing a few games doesn't make sense to me. I rarely see you on the server so receiving this suggestion from someone who hardly ever plays on the server angers me. All I am asking is that you play on the server more often before making such a drastic suggestion.

A topic is the topic, I came here to place it on an open board in the form of a suggestion to get people to post their own opinions while allowing myself to express mine, and clarify if I have to. That is all that this thread was meant to be, that's all it really was. If I was posting this to simply get rid of the rounds, I would have posted a lot more facts rather than my own opinion.

No, I'm not saying that this isn't the outcome I had in mind. No, I am not saying that this was geared fully toward making that outcome happen. Yes, this is a forum for discussion and a topic is the general direction the discussion is geared toward. So, there really isn't a need for me to force myself to play on the servers just so I can post a suggestion for people to discuss and add in whether or not they like the rounds.

Alright I'll admit I didn't convey my opinion in a proper way. Like I said before, I was just angry that someone who rarely plays on the server is saying that special rounds are turning away more players than bringing in. I respect your opinion but I still feel had you spent more time playing on the server, you would not be feeling this way towards the special rounds which make us unique to many other servers.

I think its shitty to go and shit on Honor's suggestion just because he doesn't go on the server that often. What if he was new to the server and played the special rounds and didn't like it? We need to get feedback like this to improve on the server so we don't get situations like this where it ruins the fun of some people.

But my opinion was that the special rounds take some getting used to and that they offer some fresh gameplay every so often. My intentions were not to "shit on" his suggestion, merely try to explain why I think he was not enjoying it. And how do you find the fun in special rounds? By playing on the server and giving the new addition a chance instead of bashing on all of it because of some minor flaws. I do agree however hat the gigantic props the server gets changed into can be somewhat irritating.

As someone who use to play on the server an ass load but started losing interest when these special rounds started getting implemented because the vast majority of them are completely annoying. I completely agree with Honor. I noticed that we would constantly lose randomers after having a special round due to them not having fun and finding it annoying. And going by the logic that you're using against Honor I could simply say that since you didn't spend as much time on the servers as I you would have realized this. But we both know that's a failed argument.

Tbh as an admin who plays ALOT of TTT, the special rounds cause more issues than they are fun... Golden Gun rounds cause RDM, as well as random objects (Cant see who's shooting so you assume), D vs T is alright but some spawn points are too close to the enemy (Especially if you get killed pre-round by prop kill, pushed off a ledge or falling) and have no gun... It's fun for many of the players (not all) but it's also pain for the admins... But that's just from what I've seen.

I feel like everyone is simply repeating what has been said before.

I think it is safe that EVERYONE agrees that Special Rounds (if kept) needs improving and updating.

Even if you want special rounds removed; your position of hating it is because some special rounds are messed up in which case it needs improving.

With this being said; I highly doubt they are going to remove the special rounds. Suri pretty much already said they won't remove it. So for those who are highly against it, it would probably be a good idea to now start giving suggestions on how to improve the special rounds so the reasons most people hate it won't happen anymore. It is obvious that the special rounds needs to be balanced so it doesn't disrupt the TTT game-play in any manner.

I am not 100% saying they wont be removed. But from what I can tell is that this is a 50 - 50 issue where 50% of the people like them and 50% of the people hate them. This comes down to we can't make everyone happy. If we remove them we piss off 50% of the player base, and if we keep them we are ruining the game play for 50% of the player base.

What we would need to see to 100% say we are removing them is proof that people are leaving or not wanting to play on our servers because of them. If we are not gaining new players to the playerbase because of the rounds. If that can be proven then by all means we will remove them, but what is better at this point is what N00blet said. Let's talk about how we can make the special rounds better.
