Okay, so recently a lot of people do not seem to get that they are not allowed to post if they are not involved in a player complaint, admin complaint, etc. This may be due to the lack of reading, or just misconception. I think this thread should be made so ALL misconceptions or tl;dr's are dealt with.
1. First of all, posting in something that you are not involved in is against the rules.
Ex.
Eric is posting a complaint against stealth. Reason: rdmer
SuperSaint who was not on the server at the time replies: yea stealth should be ban he rdm all da time
Obviously SuperSaint was not even in the server, and his input is completely invalid on the topic. If you have an opinion on what the final verdict should be, keep it to yourself. I'll make it blunt and say it right now; Management does not care.
2. Just because you were in the server does not mean you were involved.
Ex.
Eric is posting an admin complaint against stealth. Reason: he rdm me
SuperSaint posts: yea i saw it stealth rdm
Obviously SuperSaint was in the server, but this does not mean that he was involved. Leave the verdict to Management, they will solve the issue without your stand on the issue.
3. Second of all, shit posting (borderline spamming) is against the rules.
Ex.
Eric is posting a complaint on stealth. Reason: he rdm me on my t round!
Stealth posts: yo eric sup
Eric posts: nice weather we havin
This is a big no-no. The one involved in the complaint is allowed to post, but unnecessary comments like this A. derail the point of the post, and B. confuses the ones dealing with the complaint. Don't do it.
Hopefully this clears some things up; I have recently seen many people posting on things that do not even pertain to them just because they want to give their opinion. Others did not know what 'not being involved' meant. Whatever the case may be, this should clear it up 100%.
If you don't know whether you are involved in an issue or not, do not be afraid to ask a member of Management if the post would be appropriate for the situation; they will not ridicule you for making sure.
I suggest that all people that post in issues that they are not involved in are given an infraction. There are stickies all over the place and this thread shouldn't even be necessary, but it obviously is because of the massive amount of shit posting that's been going on in the last few appeals, complaints, etc. I also suggest that this be broadcasted much like the New Policy broadcast was. Everyone seemed to know about it; everyone should know about this as well.
